What's New?

Since 1998, the Johnson scholarship program has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships and academic grants to students across Canada. Click here to see if your family qualifies.
Here is a link to a contest that Johnson is currently running. If a BCITRA member calls in for a no obligation quote for Medoc travel insurance or Home insurance they will be entered into a draw to win a BMW, a trip for two to the Bahamas and $5,000 cash. Anyone already insured with us is already entered into the draw. Contest ends July 31st.
  2. Check out the informational PDF about how you can help out as a Big Brother/Big Sister with the "Between Generations - In School Mentoring" program. This is a great program helping younger kids to get a good start in life - this could be your opportunity to "Pay it ahead".
  3. The Council of Senior Citizens Organizations of BC has developed many health and safety promotion workshops that are available free of charge to any seniors' group. Each session lasts for approximately 90 minutes and a trained senior facilitator delivers the program. The workshops contain practical and useable information and are free of technical jargon. Participants are encouraged to make concrete plans to create a safe physical environment for healthy living.
Go to the COSCO BC website to see detailed descriptions of the workshops.
To book or enquire about a workshop — contact Sheila Pither by email at pither470@shaw.ca or telephone (604)-684-9720
